world Ireland – General

Music, myths, mysticism – this is Ireland. On the “Green Island” more than 40 shades of green can be seen. Tradition is high valued. Active people can choose from hiking, fishing, horseback-riding and golfing. There are 3 World Heritage Sites on the island: Bru na Boinne, Skellig Michael and Giant’s Causeway.

nature Ireland – Nature

Besides the 3 World Heritage Sites a number of other places are worthwhile to be visited: the Burren, Ceide Fields, Mount Stewart, Bunratty Castle, Rock of Cashel, Cliffs of Moher, Holy Cross Abbey, Blarney Castle and monastic sites Glendalough and Clonmacnoise. Red fox, hedgehog, badger are very common as well sea turtle, shark, seal, whale and dolphin off the coast.

camping Ireland – Camping

Campgrounds are available throughout the country. There are different kind of campgrounds: very basic with no facilities, with fresh water and electricity or “Full Hook-Up”:  electricity, fresh water, grey- and black water. Dumping: with a “Full Hook-Up” directly on the site, otherwise on the central dumping station of the campground or on central dumping stations in the city or at certain gas stations. Rates are approx. GBP 20-40. On the basic campgrounds in the nature the experience is outstanding. During high season, we recommend to pre reserve popular sites.
