Booking early is worth it - most rental companies worldwide offer attractive early bird specials.
As the name suggests, these are flexible prices.
Ideally, as early as possible; family vacations or overseas holidays often need to be planned and booked many months in advance.
We recommend checking the availability of your camper or motorhome first. This is especially important for overseas flights; flights are often booked spontaneously, but the vehicle isn't available until days later, resulting in unnecessary hotel costs or flight rebookings.
Virtually all rental companies have fixed pick-up and return times, and exceptions are practically impossible. Some rental companies offer a fee-based "out-of-hours" service, so it's advisable, if possible, to take your arrival at the rental station into account when planning your trip.
After international flights, some rental companies only allow vehicle pick-up the day after arrival. This information is available on our offers. This is due to the so-called "jet lag risk" (tiredness after long flights).
Most motorhomes and campervans are only partially winter-proof. At temperatures below freezing, unheated water and wastewater tanks must be emptied and cannot be used. You can obtain detailed information on winter-proofing from us.
One-way rentals are available upon request in almost all countries. Please note that additional charges apply, so we recommend picking up and returning the vehicle at the same location.
Most rental companies charge the deposit to your credit card and then credit it back after you return the vehicle. Therefore, be sure to check your credit card limit and increase it if necessary.
In Europe and Oceania, the B driving license is generally valid for vehicles up to a maximum of 3,500 kg; in the USA and Canada, heavier vehicles can also be driven with the B license.
Restrictions regarding ferry transport are regulated in the rental company's general terms and conditions. Please note that insurance coverage is often not available for ferries.
If the vehicle is returned early, there will be no refund of the unused rental price. Therefore, we recommend taking out travel insurance which covers the costs in the event of illness, accident or unforeseen insured events.
Usually, it's a good hour. We recommend letting us know when you'll be arriving at the rental company, or contacting the rental company a few days before you plan to pick up the vehicle and agree on a time. It's also important to complete the online check-in, if available, to avoid unnecessary delays.
