Finland – Travelling the happiest country in the world by camper
Finland is located in the north of Europe on the Baltic Sea and borders Sweden, Norway and Russia. The country is almost as big as Germany but has only 5.5 million inhabitants, making it one of the most sparsely populated countries in Europe. Finland stretches over 1160 kilometers from south to north. Finnish and Swedish are spoken. Finland is divided into five regions: Lapland in the north, hilly country in the east, the Finnish lake district in the interior, the coastal plains of Ostrobothnia and the coastal plains of southern Finland.
Helsinki
Let's start our round trip with the camper in the capital Helsinki. It is located in the south of the country on a peninsula on the Gulf of Finland. The coast is 131 kilometers long with over 300 islands that belong to the Helsinki urban area. The capital has been one of the most livable cities in the world for years. Exciting city life or quiet nature - there is something for everyone!

The Finnish Lake District
This natural beauty with more than 188,000 lakes and around 180,000 islands is located in the southeast of the country. It is part of the largest lake district in Europe consisting of a blue and green labyrinth of lakes, rivers, canals and islands. A perfect tour with a camper from lake to lake.
Lapland
Lapland is part of the northernmost region of Finland and is divided between the four countries of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia. The indigenous people of Lapland include the Sami, a minority of the population who make up 4%. All of Lapland's reindeer are owned by the Sami. Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, is located on the Arctic Circle and is the hometown of Santa Claus. Some of Finland's most beautiful national parks are located in Lapland.
