A trip through England by campervan
How about England as a travel destination for a change? Certainly interesting for many of you. For some people only take a second look because the advantages are not necessarily obvious at first glance.
Vacation away from the mainstream
When you hear the word “vacation”, most of you probably think of “sun, beach and sea”. But there are definitely alternatives to this mainstream holiday, as we would like to call it. For example, there are those travelers who expressly do NOT want to escape to the heat, but rather prefer cooler or temperate destinations. And there are those who are interested in other cultures, languages, countries and people. They will not necessarily be drawn to the crowded beaches of the Adriatic or Aegean. Here we introduce England as a holiday destination.
England as a travel destination
Let's take advantage of the country's limitless freedom and see what there is to discover. First of all: England has much more to offer than “just” London. Of course, you can plan a stay in the city if the vacation is long enough. But the landscape is also enchanting and offers a lot of variety. Because of the Gulf Stream, the southern half of the country in particular is warm even in winter. Snow and frost are very rare here. However, you don't necessarily have to worry about massive heat waves in summer. Compared to Central Europe, the winters are simply milder and the summers are cooler. The landscape offers a bit of everything – except deserts and steppes. But you will find (gentle) hills, impressive cliffs, beautiful forest areas, romantic towns and villages. You will also meet the always courteous locals who are guaranteed to give you the best possible hospitality and welcome.
Traveling with the camper van
The only question that remains is what your ideal trip should look like. You should pick out a few goals and desires and then think about an itinerary. The most comfortable way to travel is in the form of a camper van. Save yourself the hassle of looking for accommodation and just live comfortably in your touring vehicle. This way you can enjoy the journey as closely as possible. Start your tour in London and pick up your reserved camper van at the airport. Load it up and off you go! Your journey could start south to Brighton in Sussex. Brighton is the largest seaside resort in England. Continue to Portsmouth in Hampshire. The city offers magnificent sea views and cultural highlights. Visit the 170 meter high Emirates Spinnaker Tower. There is a glass platform at a height of 100 meters and the view over the dockyards and the Isle of Wight is really beautiful. How about a visit to Dartmoor National Park? There are the foundations of prehistoric dwellings, streets and stone circles, deep river valleys and open moorland landscapes to explore. A trip to Bristol, one of the most beautiful cities in England, is a good idea on your road trip. The proximity to the sea and green hills arouse the interest of nature lovers. Further cultural highlights can be found in Liverpool, Oxford and Cambridge.
Nice holidays!
