Drive to the South. Visit Toledo, melting pot of Christian, Jewish and Moorish culture.

Today, you will depart for a trip to Extremadura. Stop at the Guadalupe Monastery, one of the most famous pilgrimage sites in Spain. Later, head south-west. Trujillo is the birthplace of the famous conqueror Francisco Pizarro.

This city was founded by the Romans already 25 v BC. Here you will find some of the best preserved remains of the Iberian Peninsula. The amphitheatre, the Temple of Diana and the Roman Theatre are worthwhile visiting destinations.

Take a visit to the provincial capital.

On the way to Cáceres, visit the Parque Natural de Cornalvo . The medieval city of Cáceres has almost not changed since the 16th century.

Outside the city is worth a visit of the Museo Vostell and offers the Monfragüe National Park, the many bird species protection threatened by extinction.

On the ride to Plasencia, a detour worth according to Alcántara, where the bridge built by the Romans in the 2nd century today serves the traffic.

Take a trip into the surrounding valleys of Northern Extremadura.

Drive through the mountain village of la Alberca, in the city of Salamanca.

Visit the city with one of the oldest universities in Europe.

For travel to and from Ávila, you can see the perfectly preserved medieval city walls from Afar.

Visit the Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso in Segovia of Tore and the Roman aqueduct.
