Culture and nature in northern Italy

It's never too early to start thinking about your next vacation. Italy has always been a popular holiday destination. The advantages are obvious: sun, beach, sea, high standard of living, excellent cuisine, fantastic nature and pulsating cities - the Italians know how to live. Or in short: Dolce Vita! This attracts tens of thousands of us to the south every year. One further than the other. But Italy can look forward to a brisk influx of tourists. But it's not just the Adriatic coast or the Mediterranean coast that are highly sought after. Popular areas can be found all over the country. Whether Gargano in the south, the islands of Sicily, Ischia, Sardinia, Elba or the north with the large lakes, the foothills of the Alps... there is something for everyone here. Today we look at northern Italy, culture and nature for those seeking relaxation.

Northern Italy

Since Italy is not a small country, let's take a look at the north and the regions first. For example, we have these regions - listed from west to east: Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Lombardy, South Tyrol, Trentino and Veneto, Friuli. Further south we would continue with Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, ... But we stay in the north, where there is a lot to discover. At least if you are a little flexible and mobile. If you want to get to know the country, people, culture and nature, it's worth planning a tour. You can either travel with your own car and check into a different hotel every 1-2 days, or you can forgo living out of your suitcase every day, rent a motorhome and go on a trip. It is the comfortable way to travel – at affordable prices. You have everything with you, starting with your own bed, your own bathroom, the kitchen... that promises independence.

The most beautiful destinations

Now comes the hard part. There are so many beautiful destinations. Listing them all would go beyond the scope. Let's start our virtual trip in Verona. A charming city that has to be experienced to be believed. Here in the ancient core, not far from the prestigious arena, where opera stars compete, the story of Romeo and Juliet once took place at the Casa di Giulietta. The Castelvecchio is not too far away either… these are just 3 highlights of the city. Not far from Verona is the popular Lake Garda. If you drive west, then south, you come to Pisa, then pass through dreamy Florence, visit pulsating Milan and continue the journey to Venice. You see – just a few city names are enough and everyone knows that this tour will be truly fulfilling. Choose your hotspots and think about how much time you can plan. Then it starts.
